    Cavity lintels for walls<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    These lintels are suitable for most residential and commercial developments and timber-framed structures. The perforations in the inner flange provide an integral plaster key.
    \nSH lintels require a separate damp-proof course (DPC), while SU and SUX lintels act as an internal DPC, meaning that any water entering the cavity is automatically channeled down the lintel\u2019s sloped face and drained externally.<\/p>\n

    When installing cavity wall lintels, the inner and outer sheets must be lifted together to avoid twisting the lintel; blocks must continue along the entire length of the inner flange. Masonry must have a maximum projection of 25 mm, and blocks must be laid as close as possible to the support. Point loads must be applied at least 150 mm above the lintel flanges.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”37276″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css=”” parallax_scroll=”no” woodmart_inline=”no”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]\t\t

    Corrosion Resistance<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    All Cortartec lintels are manufactured from austenitic stainless steel and require no additional corrosion protection.<\/p>\n

    Thermal Performance<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    The thermal transfer, i.e., the \u201cU-value,\u201d of any wall construction depends on the thermal characteristics of the individual components being used. Cavity wall lintels are designed to allow the construction to continue up to the level of the window head.
    \nWhere required, cavity wall lintels are supplied insulated with CFC-free high-density polystyrene manufactured in accordance with BS 3837: Part 1: 2004 to be CFC-free with a zero ozone depletion potential.<\/p>\n

    CE Marking<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    Construction products falling within the scope of a harmonized European standard must now bear the CE marking under the Construction Products Regulation.
