The Cortartec ancon 500 is a new high-performance tensioning system. It is available in various diameters ranging from 8 mm to 42 mm in carbon steel and stainless steel.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Concrete structures are designed with expansion and contraction joints to allow for movement. Shear connectors are used to transfer shear force across these articulated joints. The design of the joint is critical to the overall structure\u2019s ability to function properly. The Cortartec range of shear connectors offers significant advantages over simple tie bars. They are more effective at transferring loads, accommodate movement, and, due to their two-part construction, are simpler to install. The sleeve component is nailed to the formwork and cast in place during the first concrete pour; no drilling of the formwork or concrete is required. ANCON DSD shear connectors consist of two parts: a double dowel and a double sleeve. The dowel component can move longitudinally within the sleeve to accommodate movement. The connector is available in ten standard sizes and can transfer loads ranging from approximately 20 kN to over 950 kN. Larger connectors can be used in joints up to 60 millimeters wide.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/4″][vc_single_image image=”36811″ css=”” parallax_scroll=”no” woodmart_inline=”no”][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”3\/4″]\t\t

The pin component is manufactured from 30 mm diameter duplex stainless steel, but is shorter than the ESDQ-L20 grommet. One end of the pin is designed to secure to the Ancon SKS24 Threaded Anchor cast into the concrete face, and the other end features a series of grooves to accept the locking plate. The Ancon Staisil-HLD acoustic dowel features a 22 mm diameter stainless steel rod housed within a sound-absorbing sleeve. It is designed to reduce the transmission of impact sound through a building by isolating concrete components, such as the junctions of stair elements with the concrete structure. A decoupled concrete configuration using Staisil-HLDs provides an 18 dB reduction in impact noise compared to a rigid concrete floor connection, as verified by the Fraunhofer Institute.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]\t\t

Cortartec MULTIJOINT is an all-in-one solution for load transfer, concrete shrinkage, reinforced edge protection, and formwork. It is ideal for use in factories, warehouses, distribution centers, and other applications where slabs are subject to heavy loads and vehicle traffic. Its use can reduce slab thickness, saving time and materials, and prevent uneven vertical settlement between slabs. Individual ancon plate dowels are an efficient means of transferring shear loads and accommodating movement in load-bearing ground floors. The ancon ADD 75\/10 is suitable for most applications. Where greater capacity is required or spans wider than average are anticipated, the ancon AHM 100\/10 system should be considered. The larger steel plate provides a greater surface area to reduce rolling stresses on the concrete.
