Outre l&rsquo;adh\u00e9rence totale du rev\u00eatement sp\u00e9cial \u00e0 la t\u00f4le d&rsquo;acier et au b\u00e9ton environnant, d&rsquo;autres r\u00e9actions chimiques se produisent, telles que l&rsquo;expansion, la cristallisation, l&rsquo;auto-scellement des fissures du b\u00e9ton et une frittage \/ cristallisation naturelle (formation naturelle de calcaire) des fissures du b\u00e9ton.<br \/>\nSeuls 3 cm de recouvrement de b\u00e9ton de chaque c\u00f4t\u00e9 sont n\u00e9cessaires pour sceller le joint et garantir une \u00e9tanch\u00e9it\u00e9 jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 5 bars (50 m de pression d&rsquo;eau).<br \/>\nLes \u00e9l\u00e9ments mesurent 2 000 mm de long, 150 mm de haut et environ 1,25 mm d&rsquo;\u00e9paisseur.
