Fractioning joints

Floor covering expansion joints are designed to prevent damage (detachment, cracking, lifting of tiles and other coverings) that inevitably occurs when applied to large areas of flooring without joints.

Cortartec expansion joints are used to divide floor coverings applied with mortar, such as tiles, ceramics, marble, natural stone, etc. They are ideal for commercial or industrial applications. Generally, expansion joints are used for surfaces between 25 and 60 m² with a maximum dimension of 5 to 10 meters.

The joint should divide at least 2/3 of the thickness of the screed mortar and the covering, and preferably the entire height (mortar + covering).

These joints consist of metal or PVC flanges and a flexible central nitrile rubber profile in black, gray, or beige (or other colors upon request) vulcanized to two metal bands available in aluminum, PVC, brass, or stainless steel. The expansion joints are available in various heights (20, 30, 40, or 50 mm) and 9 mm width depending on the project requirements. They are 3.00 m long.

Cortartec expansion joints are available in standard colors black, gray, or beige (or other colors upon request). The hollow grooves in the metal flanges ensure mortar fixation. Cortartec expansion joints can also be supplied with smooth metal bands for subsequent overlapping of the pavement.
