EUROCODE 6 Standard 6 clearly specifies the type of reinforcement for masonry based on environmental risk classes:
Dry environment (interior) – Galvanized masonry reinforcement

Damp (outdoor) – Organic coated reinforcement

Aggressive environment (maritime) – Stainless steel reinforcement.

Fisufor® Reinforcement Mesh

It is a prefabricated bed joint reinforcement consisting of two parallel longitudinal wires joined by a central wire. The central wire forms a beam structure and is welded at the same point along the inside of the longitudinal wires. Therefore, there is no overlap between the longitudinal and transverse wires, and the maximum thickness of the reinforcement is equal in diameter to the longitudinal wires.
The steel used in its manufacture complies with standard EN 10020.

Fisufor® bears the CE marking in accordance with the specifications of standard EN 845-3; 2006 + A1: 2008.

Wire diameter: fisufor® The reinforcement is manufactured with longitudinal wires with diameters of 3, 4, and 5 mm and transverse wires with diameters of 3 and 3.7 mm.

Reinforcement width: fisufor® The bed joint reinforcement is available in widths ranging from a minimum of 30 mm to a maximum of 250 mm.

PLUG® Fisufor Reinforcement Mesh

The PLUG® Fisufor masonry reinforcement mesh is a prefabricated grid consisting of two parallel longitudinal wires joined by a central wire. The central wire is welded in the same plane to the inner side of the longitudinal wires, forming a triangular structure. Therefore, there is no overlap in the diameters of the longitudinal wires. The ends of the pieces feature a special Fisufor plug-shaped geometry that allows for a 250 mm overlap without cutting the wires. The steel used in the construction complies with the EN 10020 standard.

Fisufor PLUG® bears the CE marking in accordance with the specifications of standard EN 845-3; 2006 + A1:2008.

GEOFOR® Fisufor Reinforcement Mesh

GEOFOR® reinforcement mesh for masonry is a prefabricated grid consisting of two parallel longitudinal wires joined by a central wire. The central wire is welded in the same plane to the inner side of the longitudinal wires, which form a triangular structure. Therefore, there is no overlap between the longitudinal and transverse wires, and the maximum thickness of the reinforcement is equal to the diameter of the longitudinal wires. The steel used in its construction complies with standard EN 845-3; 2006 + A1: 2008. INCORPORATED Spacers Geofor incorporates cylindrical plastic spacers into its cross-wires, designed to ensure minimum mortar cover and facilitate proper hooking, as they allow the rebar to be assembled at the factory before applying mortar.

The Geofor® “PLUG” structure features an innovative design that allows for overlap between reinforcement bars without any manual adjustment, maintaining the overlap at the same nominal width as the reinforcement. Geofor end pieces have a special geometric configuration that allows for a 250mm overlap without cutting the wires. Similarly, the cross-section of the wire is crimped to ensure minimal mortar coverage. SAO DEVICE (National Operator of the Automatic Control System) Geofor devices are placed at both ends of the sections to visually verify, after the installation phase, that the reinforced wall sections comply with the design and that the overlap length meets regulatory requirements.
