Composition of the CEMflex VB joint

Galvanized steel sheet metal (b = 0.75 mm / l = 2000 mm / h = 150 mm) provided on both sides with a special coating 0.5 mm thick that chemically adheres to the concrete and permanently seals the joint.

• Extreme single connection when incorporated into concrete

CEMflex VB

The CEMflex VB steel plate reacts because of its various components encapsulated in the patented coating (direct contact with the surrounding concrete components).
In addition to the excellent bonding of the special coated steel sheet to the concrete, there are some chemical reactions initiated as expansion, crystallization, self-correction of concrete cracks and the natural sintering / crystallization (natural limestone formation) of concrete joints, as well as, as of cracks.
The components of the special coating need water or water-based liquids to automatically initiate the chemical reaction; This natural crystallization process is an active process of self-healing!

CEMflex VB is a waterstop joint made up of an “active” steel plate, which reacts with water!
This active self-sealing process starts automatically by contact with water. The function of this sealing process is guaranteed even after decades of installation.
With the use of CEMflex VB, there will always be a reaction / waterproofing process (active) automatically. Crystallization, self-healing of concrete cracks will penetrate more and more deeply into the concrete structure.
The waterproofing reaction of the CEMflex VB steel waterstop joint was tested at the independent / public institution and is confirmed with an abP (Certificate / Approval of the General Construction Certificate)
