N80 MICRO-PILES TUBES
Micro-piles are a thin-based component that transfers axial loads (both compression and traction) from a structure to the deeper layers and with better consistency as a foundation support.
The use of micropiles is especially indicated in the case of foundations of works in confined spaces, in the reconstruction of works and their foundations, supporting existing foundations or consolidating tunnels and mines expulsions from underground works.
The micropile consists of three components: the head, which takes over the construction load, an axis that normally penetrates smooth layers and a root fixed by grouting in the surrounding rock to which it transfers the load resulting from the construction
The tubes are supplied unprotected or with temporary protection.
TUBE FOR MICRO-PILES AND DRILLING
The tubes are supplied with or without tightening at the ends, with a triangular thread with a rounded profile and with a normal sleeve. In addition, they can also be supplied with threaded ends for the VAM joint and with a normal sleeve, except for the pipe with an outside diameter 2, 7 and 8 inches and a thickness of 9.19mm, which is supplied with a special sleeve.
Without welding and based on the steel class in accordance with API 5A, 5AC OR 5AX standards, with external tightening or without tightening at the ends, threaded with sleeve.
Tolerances
Outside diameter: + 0.79mm, up to 4 inches | + 0.75%, starting at 4 inches
Thickness: + unspecified / – 12.5%
Mass of finished tube: + 6.5% / -3.5% (for each tube)
(with or without sleeve) – 1.75% (for batches of at least 18t).
Lengths
The tubes are usually supplied in the “ranges” (Ranges) indicated below, with limitations provided by the API 54-5AC-5AX standards
RANGE 1: length between 6.10 ÷ 7.32m.
RANGE 2: length between 8.53 ÷ 9.75m
