The CORTARTEC Isolan system is a structural component that is used to join exterior concrete balconies with interior Lages. It guarantees the continuity of the concrete reinforcement reinforcement and the internal insulation of the wall, thus protecting the construction against the effects of thermal bridges.
Isolan thermal joints allow the use of conventional rods that provide compression and traction reinforcement. When compared to systems in which this reinforcement is an integral component, the Ancon Isolan solution can provide substantial cost savings and simplify specification, programming, transport and handling at the installation site.
Isotec is a high performance thermal break system that includes 100% stainless steel reinforcement and fire resistant mineral wool insulation. Compression screws instead of bars make installation easy even on congested concrete floor slabs.
Isolan is a simple and economical thermal system. Conventional reinforcement bars are used to provide tension and compression reinforcement that offer cost savings over other systems and simplify specification, scheduling, transportation, handling and installation.

STS Steel-to-Steel Connectors

ASTS (galvanised steel) and SSTS (stainless steel) are compact thermal breaks, typically used for connecting steel balconies to structural steel frames. They are also equally suitable for other steel-to-steel applications.
The connectors comprise tension and compression components within a single combined unit, wrapped in class A1 non-combustible mineral wool insulation. Manufactured to order, the vertical centres of the four A4 stainless steel fixing studs can be specified to suit the exact requirements of an application.

STC Steel-to-Concrete Connectors
STC and SSTC steel-to-concrete balcony connectors are used to anchor steel balconies to concrete floor slabs and have been proven through thermal modelling to reduce heat loss when compared to direct connections.
The two-part assembly, comprising a cast-in anchorage and a post-fixed bracket with thermal pad located at the interface, allows for phased construction. Unlike one-piece systems which must be left exposed on-site for some time, the Ancon bracket component is not fixed until required, reducing the risk of damage.
Manufactured to order, the bracket depth can be designed to suit the exact requirements of the application and avoid conflicts with the external cladding.

Isotec Concrete-to-Concrete Connectors

Isotec is a high performance thermal break system for concrete-concrete applications, comprising 100% stainless steel reinforcement and fire-resistant mineral wool insulation.

It is particularly suitable for highly energy-efficient structures and compression studs facilitate installation in heavily congested or stepped floor slabs where compression bars would be difficult to accommodate. Each unit is manufactured as a non-deformable cage offering high rigidity and dimensional stability.

Reinforcement

Tensile and shear reinforcement consist of either 1.4301 or 1.4362 highly corrosion-resistant stainless steel, with a minimum characteristic strength Rp0.2 of 500 N/mm2. Tensile bars are continuous with no structural welding or point of weakness. Compression studs are manufactured from 12mm diameter, high resistance 1.4301 stainless steel bars with hot-forged heads. In addition to thermal and durability benefits, stainless steel reinforcement reduces concrete cover requirements and can therefore provide additional design efficiencies over carbon steel systems.

Insulation
Fire-resistant ROCKWOOL® mineral wool insulation is protected by a stainless steel U-shaped profile top and bottom. The insulation component of this system has been enhanced significantly compared to its predecessor, Isolan.
Continuous offset slots reduce the cross-sectional area of steel used, minimising the thermal conductivity of this Class A1 non-combustible component. A label is affixed to the top identifying the system type and direction of placement.
